​ODE TO PURPLE JYOTISH

" Forty moons of Jyotish
was when the lamp was lit
She plucked me from the quick sand
of a deep self-pity pit.

That lovely lunar lady
whose Jupiters lamp shines bright
with beams of purple Jyotish
to bring the soul delight

To see into future
or glance back at the past
to realise the moment
because its gone so fast

Drifting through the cosmos
spinning round the king
reaping personal harvests
with lots of Jyotish bling

sow seeds of love
and watch them grow
to reproduce again

and thank the swan
for her feather white
to make this mighty pen

Our pulsing astral neighbours
whose gravity we feel
some are not so sure of it
but now I know its real.
